The other day I sat with Jerry and he and I talked about the cars we most like to have back and in a strange co-incidence mine was my first car and 64 ford falcon with "3 on the tree" (that's a 3 speed transmission which is located on the steering collum) and Jerry's was his 1965 Ford Ranchero (example picture left). His has a 289 with four on the floor. It was great to reminisce about the cars we loved.
If you have a favorite car you wish you could have again, please share your story with us!
Today Jerry got a nice visit from his closest and dearest friends Carol and Merle. They visited for about three hours. Carol and Merle have been rock solid for both Jerry and Bev. and Maryann and I have grown to love them just like family. Well Jerry had another great day. Maryann and Angie went to see him just before lunch and they brought two very special visitors.......El Dee and Suzy (his dogs). That's right, they brought the whole herd! Jerry and the rest of his visitors were able to enjoy some quality time outdoors and Jerry was even able to play fetch with the pooches! We spoke with the doctor and he informed us that Jerry's got a long, long way to go, but he continues to improve each day and I admire him for being an example of strength while enduring the pain. I know Jerry's getting excited because his one and only son (Rick) is coming to visit. He'll also get to see one of his granddaughters (Sonya) and her kids, so this should be an eventful weekend. I was in Los Angeles today for a meeting and came back to Santa Rosa to pick up my truck and can't wait to get back up there and see him (and my wife too)!
Love you guys!
Jon

Jon, Please let uncle Jerry know that I think of him often and that I am proud of the accomplishments he has made. I pray for his continued progress and all of God's blessings. Scott Cohn scohn8@juno.com
Hi Guys,
Favorite Car (so far) was my little blue Nissan Pulsar. I loved the 5 speed stick shift and the way it hugged the turns and especially the t-tops (there nothing like driving with your hair blowing in the wind). I also miss the stereo system with my big boom box in the back. Good times zippin around in that cute little car!!
Questions: The doctor said he has a long way to go. What are his goals? Is grandpa wanting to get home asap or ok where he is at?
Thanks again for keeping up with this Uncle Jon!! And please let Grandpa know I have been writing comments from day one of this blog but I do not think that most of them were published... :(
Take care,
Forest

Hi Jerry
We wanted to share our story of our car that we used to have. It was a 71 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400. I shouldn't say 'ours', it was Jayson's car. It didn't look very 'hot', but it sure ran great and was fun for Jayson to drive. We became parents and decided to trade it due to the fact the hotrod wasn't the ideal 'family car'. Jayson traded it for a 1989 Civic and that was a great car also!!
I am glad to read that your El Dee and Suzy came and gave you some happiness today. I bet their tails were a waggin'!!! And of course, I am sure if you had a tail it was waggin too :)
We both (Jayson and I) have you in our thoughts and think of you everyday! Keep up all the hard work!!
Love,
Heather
i loved my 89' dodge shadow convertible. it was my first car,and the one i've had the most fun..because no matter how dumpy your convertible is everyone wants to ride in it: to the beach , "off-roading", or just to star-gaze...if i i could have that piece of junk back, i would take it in a second (running better and possibly with a radio this time and a cloth top without holes!)
grandpa, i'm praying for you and i think about you all the time!
